Coleen Rooney has shown fans just how serious her broken foot was after Rebekah Vardy appeared to suggest she was ‘milking it’ by wearing a medical boot.
During her High Court battle with Rebekah, Coleen was seen wearing the ‘moon boot’ on her foot to protect it as the bone healed.
Rebekah, who ultimately lost the case – dubbed the Wagatha Christie saga – as asked whether she thought Coleen was ‘milking it’ with the medical boot during a tell-all interview after the trial ended.
Refusing to say anything on the matter, Rebekah broke a wry smile as she responded: ‘No comment’.
Appearing to address Rebekah’s comments, Coleen later posted an X-ray image of her foot with one of the bones clearly badly snapped as she told her followers: ‘Boots finally off after my break’.
Coleen’s broken foot was reportedly caused by a fall at home in the mansion she shares with husband Wayne Rooney and their four sons.
A source told MailOnline in March: ‘Coleen has had a fall at home and suffered a fracture. She was in quite a bit of pain and had to go to hospital.
‘It should take about six weeks to heal. Wayne is doing all he can to help as she is having to hop around and use a crutch.’
Coleen had won the libel trial after accusing Rebekah of leaking stories to the press from her private Instagram account, which she had planted and limited to be viewable only by Rebekah’s account.
Rebekah has always vehemently denied the claims and sued for libel, however ended up losing the case.
Summing up, the judge said: ‘In my judgment, the conclusions that I have reached as to the extent to which the claimant engaged in disclosing to The Sun information to which she only had access as a permitted follower of an Instagram account which she knew, and Mrs Rooney repeatedly asserted, was private, suffice to show the single meaning is substantially true.’
Rebekah later released a statement, saying that she is ‘extremely sad and disappointed’ following the verdict.
‘It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the judge’s finding,’ she admitted.
