Gabriel Agbonlahor has described Tottenham striker Harry Kane as ‘the best finisher he’s ever seen’ and would prefer having him in his team over Manchester United’s new signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, who is Portugal’s all-time international leading goalscorer, returned to Old Trafford this summer – 12 years after leaving the club to join Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Since then he has become one of the world’s greatest ever strikers, picking up a whole host of team and individual awards in the process.

Meanwhile, Kane has surpassed 15 goals in each of the last seven Premier League seasons and currently sits sixth in England’s goalscoring charts.

Agbonlahor has hailed Kane as one of the best strikers in the world and backs him to carry on his fine form from last season into this term.

‘He’s right up there [best striker in the world], because what happened in the summer, Ronaldo coming to the Premier League, Lukaku to Chelsea, we forget about Harry Kane,’ he told talkSPORT.

Ronaldo could make his United return against Newcastle on September 11.

‘His goal record in the Premier League, his performances last season, dropping off, his assists, his goals. If there is anyone in the Premier League that you want a chance to fall to it’s Harry Kane isn’t it. I’ve never seen anyone else finish like him.’

When asked whether he’d prefer to have Kane or Ronaldo in a cup final, the former Aston Villa striker said: ‘I’m having Harry Kane, if you’re looking at finishing, there’s no one better than Harry Kane. His finishing is a joke.’

The now 36-year-old Ronaldo could make his United return when they play host to Newcastle on September 11 following the conclusion of the international break.
