Carlo Ancelotti has warned his Real Madrid players to forget their Champions League heroics this season ahead of their final showdown against Liverpool.

Real Madrid are chasing a 14th European triumph having fought their way to the final with some remarkable comebacks in the latter stages of the competition.

Despite those memorable nights, Ancelotti has urged his team to forget about how they reached this stage of the competition and focus on enjoying the occasion in Paris tonight.

Real Madrid held their final training session on Friday with Ancelotti delivering a message to the squad.

El Chiringuito captured the Italian’s speech to his players, telling them: ‘What we’ve done, the truth is it doesn’t matter now.

‘Tomorrow you have to get used to it. Here you all are, to enjoy it, which is the most important thing in football.

‘It will be beautiful but difficult.

‘Tomorrow is the party of the final and after the final, we will be happy. And that’s all.’

A 17-minute hat-trick from Karim Benzema saw Real Madrid come back from two goals behind to beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 in the last 16 stage of the competition.

The France international scored an extra-time winner to eliminate Chelsea in the next round.

Los Blancos repeated the comeback trick again in the semis against Manchester City, overturning a 4-3 first leg defeat to progress 6-5 on aggregate.
