Lorraine Kelly might be again on our screens on her beloved ITV show subsequent week after testing damaging from a ‘nasty’ bout of coronavirus.
The 62-year-old had been forced to pull out of the long-running morning programme when she found she had contracted Covid-19 final weekend .
In Lorraine’s place, former Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman took over presenting duties, fronting the show every day this past week.
However the Scot will return on Monday, updating her followers on Instagram: ‘NEGATIVE!! Lastly – a nasty one however feeling wonderful now.
‘See you all on Monday 9am @lorraine @itv HUGE because of @carolvorders for holding the fort.
‘I’ve missed you all. #covid #negative #backtowork #happy #feelingbetter’
Followers rushed to want Lorraine properly and couldn’t comprise their delight over her return to the well-loved present.
Followers commented: ‘Glad [you’re] feeling higher’ and ‘We’ve missed you, so glad [you’re] feeling higher’.
One other added: ‘Good [you’re] feeling higher. Had covid three months in the past & it’s not nice. Take care of your self and take care.’
It’s not the primary time in latest weeks that there was a change in Lorraine’s present, with the programme taken off air mid-way via an episode after it was introduced that Boris Johnson can be resigning as Prime Minister.
The presenter had just begun an interview with JLS star Aston Merrygold when information got here in that they’d be slicing to ITV Information stay to cowl the Prime Minister’s imminent resignation.
Aston, 34, had been lower than two minutes into his interview on Lorraine as she lower the chat brief, saying: ‘Now, I inform you what, we’ve bought extra on that information from Westminster.
‘We’re going handy you over to ITV Information with the entire breaking information concerning the imminent resignation of Boris Johnson.’
Turning to Aston, Lorraine added: ‘So very sorry about that, you must come again!’
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
