Manchester United continue their pre-season preparations on Friday as they take on Melbourne Victory at the MCG in their second friendly under Erik ten Hag.

The first friendly went extremely well as the Red Devils thrashed Liverpool 4-0 in Bangkok, helping to create a very positive feeling around the club under the new manager.

United have an extremely busy pre-season as Ten Hag looks to get his ideas across, with four more friendlies to come before the start of the Premier League campaign.

Melbourne Victory are one of the best sides in Australia and could field a familiar new signing after former Manchester United man Nani signed for the A League team this week.

On the possibility of facing his old side in Melbourne, he said: ‘I would like to. I don’t know. Obviously, I just arrived in the country and it’s a long flight. There are a lot of things to do to prepare. First of all, the body must be ready to compete because you want to give 100 per cent.

‘As a player, I always want to play so give me five minutes and I will be ready! Let’s see. I need to work and prepare to be ready.’

The match kicks off at 11.05am UK time at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday 15 July.
