Monty Norman, the composer behind the long-lasting James Bond theme, has died on the age of 94.

A press release on his official web site mentioned: ‘It’s with unhappiness we share the information that Monty Norman died on 11th July 2022 after a brief sickness’.

Norman is most well-known for composing the rating for the 1962 Bond movie Dr No, and the immediately recognisable piece of music which grew to become the theme for the whole franchise.

Born within the East Finish, Norman first served within the RAF the place he found a ardour for singing.

Within the 1950s and 1960s, he carried out with large bands, together with these for Cyril Stapleton, Stanley Black, Ted Heath, and Nat Temple.

Norman went on to carry out in selection reveals, sharing the billing with stars together with Benny Hill, Spike Milligan, and Peter Sellers.
